I loved this book - it was a quick read. I enjoyed learning about the Wherlocke family and their many 'gifts' - especially the children. Didn't love that the family has so many 'natural' children but the fact that they stand by & help each other was great. Penelope & Ashton were a good couple - they both had to learn to trust and love each other. It was nice to see them both grow into their relationship.

Another great book from Hannah Howell. The Wherelock gifts are just so very believable and some very true. In the time of witches or not very far from that time it's best to keep your gifts quiet. Yet use what God gave you to better every life you touch. Just a feel good book all in all.
How about a paranormal Regency Romance with dangers, kidnapping, murder, stolen legacies, and a touch of the Cinderella. You're looking at it now. The love element grew between our H/h between jolts to the poor Viscount's sensibilities as he encounters each of the psychic abilities of the Wherlocke and Vaughn families. Soon he is a believer, but is still enmeshed in the web that contains both himself and the Wherlocke daughter he loves. Great plot. Great book, Great Series.
Hannah Howell's series about these wonderful, a bit out of the ordinary family members is quite wonderful. The writing is good, the characters are better. Some of stories are more sturdy than others but they do manage to connect one to another, letting us get more acquainted with the powers the people weld and most of all the care they have for one another. Yes, there's some zing as the relationships heat up. The thing that holds these books together, to me at least, is this group of the "different" and sometimes really formidable people who are there for one another. Do read If He's Dangerous and If He's Wild as well. Really great fun.
Hannah Howell is one of my top go to authors for historical romance. She always delivers and this series has an extra twist to it which I love. Great book, awesome story that will keep you entertained from page #1
Another great story involving yet another member of the Wherlocke/Vaughn family that has ‘The Gift’. Ashton Radmoor is needing to marry for money, but finds out his intended wife is not so beautiful. He meets Penelope and the adventure of deceit, distrust and much more begins. He needs to save her yet he knows he must still honor his word to marry Clarissa, but he is going to find a way out of it with the help of his friends and find out who is trying to kill Penelope in the mean time. Great story line and very well written!! Love Hannah’s books..
I am absolutely in love with this series! I've read books 1-3 in three days and listened to the audio when I couldn't just sit down and climb into the lives of the Wherlock's and the Vaughan's. That she included the paranormal gifts along with the romance just adds so much excitement to the story. I don't like to give away what happens in the story since I feel other readers should experience the beautiful writing and creativity of Ms. Howell's writing for themselves. I will say I absolutely love it and am off for the next one. 😊
